Mayo Sailing Club wishes to offer its condolences and deepest sympathies to the family and friends of recently joined member Mark Alder who was taken suddenly ill during our scheduled race in Clew Bay on the evening of July 11th. Immediate medical care was available and administered. Despite the efforts of crew, coastguard and medical services they were unable to save our new member and friend’s life.
There is great sadness at Mayo Sailing Club at this tragic loss and our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
