There was a great turnout for the first race and club evening last thursday the 12th April. Bar was open, fantastic food by WhyNot Results will be available ASAP we are testing a new App and want to make sure all is correct before publishing.
Owen’s RIB will be available to drop you aboard next Thursday. It’s a great service and costs €2 per person round trip, put money in the box on steering consul. Please don’t be mean or he wont run this for us.
Club Clean up and Maintenance Next Saturday 21st April 10.30AM
Lots of hands make light work. There is lots of sweeping up, general cleaning, painting general tidying, lifting and moving to be done, We particularly need garden hedge cutting equipment and a power washer, please bring what you have. Joe Gibbons 087 2334991 will be organising the day. please contact him for specific questions. Let’s please make a big effort to finish off the great work Joe has done to the club this winter.
Sailing Dinghy Registration
All boats left on club premises (The hardstand) now have to be registered you can do this on the payment section of the club website. There is a €10 charge. You will be given a tag for the trolley and boat. Boats left without tags will be removed. Alex Blackwell 087 6243907 administering the scheme. Boats cannot be left behind the clubhouse.
Dinghy (Tenders) Rack and Engine Shed
Payment is required on the club website for use of this facility and you will be again issued with tags, Alex Blackwell 087 6243907 First to pay get to pick their spot in the rack. Your spot is not necessarily the same as last year. Tenders and engines left on club premises without tags will be removed.
Writing Competition Prize Giving and Club Open Day 5th May
The competition was targeted to promote the junior sailing courses and has over 200 entries. (The much mentioned Alex Blackwell deserves credit for this) We hope to make the Day a success for promotion of the club to new members for junior and adults.
