This is all about getting ready for the 2019 season. What is the first thing to go wrong the day you decide to go out on the water? Naturally the poor neglected outboard engine decides to have a little hissy fit and refuses to co-operate. Well, at 2.30 on Saturday 9th March, in the Clubhouse, we will be having tuition on outboard engine maintenance and this will be your chance to learn how to cherish the little engine and ensure that your engine loves you right back.
In case pulling that starter cord is all too much, this will be followed by a demonstration on the use of the Defibrillator. We are mounting the Defibrillator outside the Club house, (conveniently close to the engine shed), but we all agreed that an emergency is not the time to figure out how to use it. Instead we will be having a qualified Red Cross instructor who has very kindly volunteered to offer MSC members free tuition on the use of the defibrillator. We will not be handing out certificates but it is your chance to learn how to use this potentially life-saving piece of equipment.
Finally, after tea and bikkies, Yannick Lemonnier, our sail-making guru from Galway, will give a short information session.
We hope this will be a very valuable and enjoyable afternoon. No booking is required for any of the above.
Also the Lift-In is planned for the weekend starting on 5th April.
